Some opaque, filled plastics mark with fiber lasers; clear and additive-free polymers often do not. We qualify materials with samples before production runs.

- Foaming / carbonisation (material dependent)
Practical tips
- · PVC and some halogenated plastics are avoided due to fumes
- · Send material grade datasheets when available
- · UV or CO₂ may be better for some polymers — we will say so honestly
